We seek to provide quality care and education for your children. The daily program at Pal’s is structured so that your child will experience the security of routines they can easily master and that will contribute to a peaceful yet active learning environment. Classroom rules are geared towards safety and fostering respect for others, ourselves, and property.
Children need years of play with real objects and events before they are able to understand the meanings of symbols such as letters and numbers. Learning initially takes place as young children touch, manipulate, and experiment with things, and interact with people. Therefore, learning materials at Pal’s are real, concrete, and relevant to the lives of the children. |

Pal's preschool programs serve children ages 6-weeks to 4-years old. We believe that a major determinant of a quality early childhood program, is the degree to which a program is developmentally appropriate. For a program to be developmentally appropriate, content and teaching strategies must be age and individually appropriate. Leading research in the field today suggests that play is the primary means by which children grow in the preschool years and even into the primary years. In addition to its value in developing children mentally, play also serves important functions in children’s physical, emotional, and social development. Therefore, a structured play environment with an academic component of increasing complexity as the children grow is an essential ingredient in our pre-school educational curriculum for children ages infant through 4 years old.
The academic components of our preschool programs are built into our structured play based curriculum in a manner consistent with the developmental age of the children. Literacy, math, science, health, and the social sciences are all integrated into our daily program to the degree appropriate for each age group we serve. Our goal is to prepare the children of Pal’ for entry into the public or private school sectors with the academic and social skills they need to succeed.

Pal’s Kindergarten Program |
|
Pal’s Kindergarten has been specifically designed to meet the standards of the Shenendehowa School District Kindergarten curriculum to provide age eligible children with the skills they will need to enter 1st grade upon completion of our full day kindergarten. Our low teacher to child ratio and our full day program combine to provide the time and attention children need to successfully assimilate their learning experiences into their lives. Children who attend Pal’s are spared the daily stress of multiple commutes between home, day care, and off site schools and parents are more at ease knowing their child is at one location throughout each day. We find that children who have attended our program typically enter the public school system ahead of their peers.
